Nigeria Sun (ANI) Friday 3rd February, 2012

Wayne Rooney, who seems to do anything to make his wife Coleen happy, was spotted out on a date night with his wife Coleen to watch 'Oliver!' at the Palace Theatre in Manchester.

As the local celebrities got out of their minibus they instantly became the stars of the show as the other theatre-goers spotted them and began taking pictures of them.

Coleen, 25, was dressed to impress and looked great in a pair of black peep-toe Louboutin heels and black trousers.

The mother-of-one also wore a floaty blue top with a black fur jacket as she headed into the theatre.

The Manchester United ace was dressed smarter than he normally is but was still left in the shade by his fashionable wife.

The English striker wore a pair of smart jeans with black trainers and a shirt with a black quilted jacket.

The star couple enjoyed the show and were given some VIP treatment by the theatre after being allowed to go on stage and have their pictures taken with the cast.

The couple were joined by Everton player Darron Gibson and football legend Sir Bobby Charlton.

"Me darron gibson and sir bobby with oliver cast. Great show loved it. Dodger was brilliant (sic) ," the Daily Mail quoted Wayne as tweeting.

Coleen posted a picture a picture of the three men on stage on Twitter and was equally as supportive of the musical as her husband.

"Great night at palace theatre to see Oliver with @Dcartashian!!! @WayneRooney, Gibbo and Sir Bobby part of the cast!!" she wrote. (ANI)
