US student, 18, could lose $33K scholarship for appearing in porn video

A university student in the US may end up losing her 33,000 dollars scholarship after it was revealed that she had appeared in an internet porn video.

Elizabeth Hawkenson, 18, who is a first year studying geology at the Arizona State University, says she performed in the movie to raise funds for her course.

"The whole thing is scripted, I knew going in there it was for sex. I knew what I was doing-I knew I was getting paid," the Daily Mail quoted her as saying.

Hawkenson, from Copperas Cove, Texas, picked up 2,000 dollars for the filming, and was assured the video would only appear on a pay-for section of the site.

But she now faces the possibility of her scholarship being axed and of getting kicked out of the university after her activities came to the attention of her lecturers.

An anonymous letter condemning her behaviour was sent to the university board by an alleged former student, who asked that Hawkenson be expelled and her scholarship revoked.

Meanwhile, the Board has said it never received such a letter.

And Hawkenson has claimed the scholarship has not been revoked, and she is still attending the university and living in a dormitory. (ANI)
