NAIROBI, March 3 (Xinhua) -- Africa is blessed with one of the most intact and magnificent wildlife systems on Earth. Its diverse ecosystems -- vast grasslands, tranquil wetlands, lush rainforests, and boundless deserts -- nurture a thriving kingdom of wildlife. The continent's rich natural heritage and eternal wild beauty captivate travelers from all corners of the world.

World Wildlife Day, which is observed annually on March 3, was established by the United Nations in 2013 to raise awareness and celebrate the contributions of wild animals and plant species to human survival.
